Creative Weekend
This past weekend I had the honor of being the guest teacher at the very first Fodder School Live event hosted by Heather Kojan. As you know now from my last email I am one of the Fodder School teachers in Fodder School 6.
During Fodder School live I was able to teach my layering of color techniques as well as how to use negative space when art journaling. It was a truly magical weekend. The amount of creativity among this amazing group of women astounded me. Talk about finding your people. I am pretty sure I pushed them slightly out of their comfort zone but they rose to the occasion and just wowed me.
I am still recovering from a whirlwind of a weekend. My brain is now spinning with all sorts of creative ideas.

Fodder School 6
Information
If you missed my last email here is a repeat of how you can find out about
Fodder School 6
What is Fodder School?? Fodder school is an eleven month long on-line creative school with a new teacher each month who will walk you through a project that can be done at your own pace. It revolves mainly around paper fodder.
What is paper fodder??? Paper fodder refers to pieces of paper that you can use to create an artistic project. Fodder can be handmade papers such as gel prints, stamped papers, painted papers or any type of found papers such as book pages or magazine pages. If you just do a simple search on Instagram with the #fodderschool you will see so many lovely projects that have been done over the last 5 years.
From the description above you can see why I immediately jumped on board to become a part of year 6 of Fodder School. I am always getting asked what I do with all the lovely papers I make. Now I get to show you!! There are actually two parts to Fodder School, Fodder Challenge (one month of small projects from each teacher) and then Fodder School itself which is the 11 months of lessons and projects. Below is a photo of what I will be teaching in my Fodder Challenge lesson. I am so excited to be able to walk you through some simple steps to make these groovy colorful pears.

After the one month of Fodder Challenge Lessons you can then have the option of joining in on 11 months of creativity. For my month long project I walk you through making an 18" x 24" piece of art work. We will make our own paper fodder together. I will show you how to make simple masks and stencils while making unique gel prints that will then be cut into shapes to create something similar to what you see below.

Along with the honor of teaching in Fodder School I was also interviewed by Wendy Solganick the founder of Fodder School. To hear the interview click the link below. Wendy's Podcast is called "Show Up or Shut Up". I personally have listened to all the episodes. Learning about other artists and Wendy's curiosity for each artist's story is fabulous.
